One thing we noticed when we tried out Twin Spin Deluxe is that the classic Wild sightball shines with its absence. The Joker is otherwise a symbol that can adopt the value of any other symbol in the game. But since the twin reels and in this case, the winning patterns already help with a boost of the winning chances, we can see through the fingers that the popular Wild symbol has failed.

So without losing character from Twin spin's 80s party theme, they have managed to renew an already new-classic video slot. But they have also managed to retain much of what made the first edition so popular already several years ago. Here are the features listed, recognizable as new.

Twin Reels

A favorite feature of Twin Spin is the Twin Reel. This means, just like in the first game, that two of the reels are identical, i.e. have the same symbols on the same positions. These are linked to each other in order to increase your chances of getting a pattern cluster. Just as we have seen in the older slot machine, the twin reels can also be expanded, but in Twin Spin Deluxe there can be up to 6 identical reels, given that the new slot machine has an extra reel.

Cluster Pays

This means that you win when your symbols land in a cluster across the playing field after the reels have stopped. These can land both horizontally and vertically across the reels, but can only count as a win when you land 9 matching symbols or more in the same cluster.

Symbols

The lowest value symbols in the game are all of equal value and consist of the typical letters A, K, J and Q. It's always tricky to launch a sequel to something that's already become a big hit. Either it can be nothing but a success or it will be a flop because hopes can be difficult to limit. When it comes to Twin Spin Deluxe, that's what we expected in terms of feel that the game delivers with graphics and sound. The Deluxe version also has a polished graphics that makes it a bit flashier. We like that Netent has given the game a sixth reel and two extra rows, and also that they have added the Cluster feature as an extra twist.

However, we miss the simple and lovely Wild symbol that was not allowed to accompany Twin Spin Deluxe, it would clearly have been an attractive bonus feature. Having said that, we appreciate that Netent styles it with a slightly flashy variant of an already quite flashy video slot.
