You probably already know that roulette consists of two main components: a table and a wheel. Let's take it from the beginning and take a closer look at these components.

The Roulette wheel

The wheel is divided into 37 sections. One of these, the Zero, is green. (It is also the zero that gives the house an advantage of 2.7%.) The remaining sections are numbered from 1 to 36, and these are alternately black and red. When a player makes a bet, the wheel spins and a metal ball is dropped. The outcome of the game depends on your bet and where the ball stops. Actually, it is no more difficult than a roll of the dice.

Note: in American roulette, two zeros are used. This helps to increase the house edge considerably, so always choose European/French roulette over American.

The Roulette table

The table, in turn, consists of a grid with the same numbers that the wheel has (0 – 36). Each number on the table corresponds to a number on the wheel. Outside the grid are some additional fields. The first round of roulette

In order to quickly give you an idea of how the game goes, we can already give an example of what a game round looks like. You already know enough to make a so – called ”straight Up bet” on a single number. To bet on, for example, 17, you put the chips you want to bet on the number 17 on the table. The croupier then sets the wheel in motion, and the metal ball is dropped down. If the ball lands on 17, you have won (35 times the bet specifically). Standard bets in roulette
