About Gangster Gamblers slot
Being a gangster is not easy. Some are well attracted to the lifestyle of the tough life, but for most, the party ends prematurely. It is the dark and brutal side of gangster life that Booming Games draws attention to in its slot Gangster Gamblers.
When you open the game, a very dark and ominous graphics appear. Everything goes in black, gray and red. The red, of course, is to give an image of the blood that inevitably flows in gangster showdowns. For example, the spin button is in the form of a large blood stain. The graphics are really nicely designed, but we could have wished for some more color, and in a different color than red!
To accompany the dark atmosphere, Booming Games has stuffed in a very ominous background music. It is technically brilliant and there is a chance that you will get it on your brain.
Stakes and winnings
Booming Games rarely equips it with the wagering features of their slots. Just Gangster Gamblers is a prime example of the developer's basic approach. This slot has five reels with three rows of icons and up to 15 paylines. A little special is that you can actually choose the number of paylines. It is not common in slots of today.
You adjust your bet by entering the bet per line and the number of lines. The minimum possible coin value is 0.10$ while the maximum possible is 20$ . This means that you play for between 1.50-300$ per spin.
The winning schedule is quite an interesting story to watch. The low-win symbols are really low-win symbols, while the better-paying icons give a real clink in the cashier when combinations of the larger kind. The most you can win on a spin is 600 times the bet. The RTP for Gangster Gamblers is 95,37%. If you are used to playing slots from, for example, Play'N GO or NetEnt, this refund will be perceived as low.

Game features
Gangster Gamblers, unfortunately, do not have very many special features. It's a bit of a shame, especially as the theme really invites the creation of bonus games, for example. Other mafia-themed games, such as the Slotfather II from Betsoft, have a variety of special features that are directly related to the game's theme.
Wilds
The mysterious Geisha is the wild of the game. She is also the icon who gives the very best pay. With complete wild lines, you win a lot with her. However, she rarely appears in more than one or two positions. The only symbol The Geisha cannot replace is the scatter symbol – just as usual in video slots.
Scatters and free spins
Booming Games has stuffed a very classic scatter feature into its Gangster Gamblers. Three or more scatters give you free spins. In addition, you will receive a cash prize, the size of which is determined by the number of symbols.
When you get three or more scatters, you get to play 10 free spins. Before they start, one of the paying symbols will appear at random (but not the wild symbol). The Selected icon will then act as the expanding paying icon during the free spins, provided that the symbol appears in at least three places on at least three reels. The feature is reminiscent of the one in the Book of dead from Play'n go. What that means is that it doesn't matter on which reels the symbol expands. The idea that winning hits only occur on complete combinations starting on the first reel is simply put out of play.
Three or more extra scatters in the bonus round will give you 10 additional free spins, then with the same selected symbol as before. Any cash winnings from the scatter symbols are paid out as usual even in the free spins bonus.
Symbols
There are a total of ten symbols on the five reels. Eight of these are regular paying icons while two are special symbols. The wild symbol, which pays the best, is in The Shape of a geisha holding up a fan with the text ”wild”. The scatter symbol shows the torso of a gangster who has received a big bang! It has a relatively high value in itself while activating free spins (with at least three of them).
In the high win symbols section, two icons are noticeable. One is an icon depicting a man on his knees. The second depicts a policeman who is out to catch criminals. The low win symbols represent a little finger and a napkin (the game is about the Yakuza!), a gangster car parked outside a sushi restaurant, a man eating a plate of sushi and three numbers (9, 8 and 3).
The symbols are rather rudimentarily illustrated. However, if they are included in a win, animations will appear that are of the clearly more colorful and impactful kind. The kneeling man is shot, the one who eats the sushi plate falls down dead, and so on. We must warn sensitive players about the graphics of these animations!
Summary
Gangster Gamblers is a fairly simply designed slot for both form, bet features and bonus features. It may sound a bit with just wilds, scatters and free spins, but it is slightly outweighed by the expanding icons in the free spins round.
Thematically, Booming Games has created a solid depiction of the dark life as a ”gangster gambler”. If there is something that attracts you, of course, depends on your taste in terms of themes in slots. The game developers have not skimped on the impact of this slot, and it is certainly not for everyone.
