Who is responsible for your information

The agency responsible for personal information collected through CasinoList.co.nz is Halcyra Media Labs DMCC, Mazaya Business Avenue BB2, Cluster BB, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Requests and questions about privacy go to [email protected]; put “Privacy” in the subject line so the message reaches the right person first time.

What the site collects

You do not need an account to use CasinoList, and the site takes no payments, so it never asks for an address, a phone number or card details. Personal information reaches us in three ways:

• Messages. The form on the contact page asks for your name, your email address and your message. An email you send us directly contains whatever you put in it.
• Newsletter. The subscription form on the home page asks only for an email address.
• Cookies set on every page. Each page of the site sets two first-party cookies: mz_vid, a random visitor identifier kept for one year, and mz_src, which records where the visit came from (a search engine, another site or a direct visit) and is kept for 30 days. Following one of our /go/ links to a casino adds two more for about 20 hours, mozbiz_session and XSRF-TOKEN, which keep that redirect working and protect it against forged requests. Like every web server, ours writes a technical log of requests (IP address, time, page, browser), which is used to keep the site running and to deal with abuse. No analytics, advertising or social-media scripts run on CasinoList.co.nz.

Why we use it

• to answer your message and keep the correspondence while it is open;
• to send the newsletter you asked for, until you unsubscribe;
• to know which of our affiliate links led to a sign-up, so that the commission described on how we make money can be paid — when you follow a /go/ link, the visitor identifier is passed to the casino as a click reference;
• to keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell personal information, build advertising profiles or use what you send us for anything else.

Who else sees it

The contact and newsletter forms are provided by fortunida.com, the form service the publisher uses; it receives what you type into a form only when you send it, and processes it for us. Our hosting provider stores the site and its logs. When you follow a link to a casino, the casino receives the click reference described above and, from then on, whatever you give it under its own privacy policy — we receive no account, deposit or identity data back from operators.

Some of these providers work outside New Zealand. Where that is so we rely on them to protect the information to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020.

How long it is kept

• messages: while the matter is open and for up to one year afterwards;
• newsletter address: until you unsubscribe, using the link in any issue or by writing to us;
• cookies: as listed above — one year for mz_vid, 30 days for mz_src, about 20 hours for the two /go/ cookies;
• server logs: for a limited period needed for security, then deleted.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask for the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You can also ask us to delete a message or a subscription, and you can remove the cookies at any time in your browser settings. Write to [email protected]; we answer within 20 working days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz).

Age

The site is meant for adults aged 18 and over, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact
